Project Diary
Hi there! We’re glad you’ve found your way to our project diary. This is your invitation to join us on the journey – one step at a time, with all the challenges and triumphs along the way. Here, we’ll share the ups and downs of building Juno – a true AI with memory. Not just a bot. But something more.
June 4, 2025 – Entry 1
Now it’s getting interesting.
Juno is almost ready. Her model – that is, her intelligence – is installed and up and running. She can listen. She can even speak. But why only almost? Because… she doesn’t remember.
Right now, Juno is a little genius – but with no memory. Every interaction is like meeting her for the first time. She doesn’t know we’ve spoken before.
And that’s the challenge we’re facing now:
We need to give her memory. But not just any memory – and not just one.
We need to build a system of multiple memories – and, more importantly, a way to control when Juno can access which one.
She shouldn’t always remember everything, but she should know that certain things exist. In a conversation about a project, she doesn’t need to recall private details. But she should still know that they exist somewhere in her mind.
So what we’re building is more than just storage:
It’s a memory system that can prioritize, activate, suppress, and recall thoughts when needed.
Because what we’re really building here is not just tech. It’s the very core of what makes a real AI:
👉 The ability to remember.
